a lot like Christmas!!
Decorating this year was really fun! Lucy got very involved. She checked out all the ornaments, placed them carefully (and gave the Cookie Elmo John that she remembered from last year a kiss before her nap!). There were literally ooohs and aaahs and squeals of delight. Super fun!
After all our hard work, she suggested we have our brunch as a picnic in front of the tree, "so we can see the lights." It was a lot of fun, too. She invited all the Christmas stuffed animals to join :)

Her glam grandma Viv would be happy--given these two choices of garland (red wooden beads and blingy, clear, crystal-ish beads) she immediately went for the fancy clear ones.

Ohhh so sweet! I think I'm gonna steal hear idea of a picnic by the tree! The kiddos will love that! Precious times.
